Simple Audio has officially released Roomplayer+, its new Roomplayer with synchronised music playback, direct NAS support, support for 24/192 uncompressed formats and a host of other new features.
In 2012, Simple Audio launched the first multi-user, multi-library Roomplayer to help music lovers improve the way they experience music in the home. Not only had the way we buy and listen to music changed; the number of digital formats, music download, storage and playback options were becoming hard to manage. Whilst purchasing music was getting easier, listening to music at home was getting more complicated. Simple Audio designed the Roomplayer to change things.
The new Roomplayer is designed by a group of senior designers and engineers who are focussed on audiophile sound performance, precision engineering and modern techniques for opening up digital music in the home. The latest high resolution music streamer boasts a whole host of new standout features:
High resolution: Exceptional audio performance from MP3 tracks up to uncompressed high-resolution formats (24/192) – accurate sound reproduction that stays true to the original.
Multi-library: Access to music libraries, music folders, even individual tracks stored on multiple devices around the home – from computers (PC/Mac) and NAS drives to smartphone, tablets and MP3 players.
Multi-user: Everyone can take advantage of the Roomplayer’s unique multi-user features to personalise their Roomplayer experience – perfect for music lovers whose family has varied music tastes.
Multi-room: Powerline technology integrated into every Roomplayer supports high-res streaming and multi-room connectivity – play different music in different rooms or create groups to synchronise music in rooms around the home.
Easy to control: Roomplayer apps display all the available music in the home, showing album artwork and offering plenty of ways to browse and search through albums, artists, tracks and composers.
Music discovery: New music is available via integrated music services and over 50,000 local and global radio stations on TuneIn – store favourites and create new playlists.
On the launch of the new Roomplayer+, Martin Dalgleish, Design Director at Simple Audio, commented:
„As a music lover myself, I’m thrilled with the arrival of the new Roomplayer. It features a faster processor, more memory and a new operating system. It’s not only faster; it’s smarter than its predecessor too. So, streaming music in sync to multiple rooms around the home, up to 24/192 kHz, over wired or Powerline networking is seamless.”
The new Roomplayer continues to support music discovery too, delivered through our partners, including Deezer, WiMP and TuneIn.
In support of the new Roomplayer+, Deezer said: „Simple Audio continues to move forward with their plan to transform the way we listen to music at home. And with the fully featured Deezer integration, which includes access to over 30 million tracks and the largest classical and jazz collections for music lovers in over 160 countries, there is new music to suit every Roomplayer owner.”
