The TAD Evolution Series Enters a New Era Launch of New Black-Themed Disc Player, Power Amplifier and Speakers
Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, Inc. is pleased to announce that it will launch three new Evolution Series products, the TAD-D1000MK2 Disc Player, TAD-M2500MK2 2-channel Power Amplifier and the TAD-CE１K-KJ speaker system. All three products feature a black-themed design that can be combined with a black-colored system for a sense of uniformity. The lineup also includes silver versions of the disc player and power amplifier.
From its predecessor the TAD-D1000, the TAD-D1000MK2 disc player inherits the extensive digital input terminals and TAD’s specially-developed ultra-high precision C/N*1 Master Clock UPCG*2 that accurately reproduces digital audio signals, and comes newly equipped with a high-quality sound electronic volume feature. As the player can be directly connected to the power amplifier, it can be used as a digital media center capable of high-quality playback through a simple configuration that bypasses pre-amplification. Moreover, the power supply circuit has undergone major improvements, such as higher power transformer capacity, and we have pursued even higher sound quality by employing a newly-developed insulator.
The TAD-M2500MK2 2-channel power amplifier has undergone fine turning to reduce impedance caused by the power supply and speaker output circuits, and also uses the same newly-developed insulator found in the TAD-D1000MK2 for improved isolation performance.
Like the TAD-CE1 series, the TAD-CE1K-KJ speaker system employs a CST (Coherent Source Transducer) Driver coaxial speaker unit that uses a beryllium diaphragm processed with an evaporation method for the tweeter, and the Bi-directional ADS*3 port system installed with slit-shaped bass reflex ports on both sides of the enclosure. The entire circumference of the enclosure is coated in high-gloss piano black, with the area around the grey alumite aluminum panels attached to the sides featuring a black matte finish to produce a polished design with deep color tones.
