Brytyjska firma zaprezentowała nowy chip przeznaczony do reprodukcji dźwięku o jakości 24bit/196kHz w urządzeniach przenośnych. Szczegóły w informacji poniżej

Wolfson Microelectronics plc, a global leader in the design and development of mixed-signal semiconductor devices and audio solutions for consumer electronics products, has today announced the introduction of the WM5102S, the latest ground-breaking product from its innovative Audio Hub portfolio, which will allow consumers to experience 24-bit, 192 kHz high-resolution Master Hi-Fi™ audio playback on a mobile device.

The WM5102S features a class-leading 120dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and integrates Wolfson’s advanced Master Hi-Fi™ filters, which are optimised for authentic playback of 24-bit Studio Master recordings. Wolfson’s Master Hi-Fi™ filters bring the unique and highly-rated sonic quality of Wolfson’s ultra-high performance WM8741 DAC to mobile devices, enabling premium high fidelity music playback quality at a fraction of the power consumption, size and cost of systems designed for high-end home audio.

Tim Page, Principal Product Line Manager at Wolfson Microelectronics, said: “We are seeing very significant growth in end-user demand for premium quality mobile audio, which is now seen as a key device differentiator. With Studio Master quality recordings increasingly being made available for download onto mobile devices, consumers understandably want to experience these recordings on their mobile devices at the same quality that they would enjoy on premium home audio systems.

“The WM5102S allows consumers to experience the depth, richness and clarity of Studio Mastered audio the way that the artist or composer intended.”
